Project overview

Havbrukssenter collects research, statistics and outreach material for both industry professionals and school classes. Two very different audiences had to be served without building two separate websites. We built a portal on a shared content base with two entry points and two levels of language.

Challenges

  • Industry professionals and school pupils with entirely different needs
  • Large datasets that had to be presented understandably
  • Bilingual content published at different rates
  • Universal design requirements for publicly funded content

Our solution

  • Two entry points built on the same content model at different depths
  • Data visualisations with an equivalent table view for screen readers
  • A translation flow that handles languages publishing out of sync
  • Accessibility testing integrated into the development cycle
